Government Mints Websites

The sites listed below are those of mints & engraving facilities which have been officially licensed or contracted by their respective governments to produce coins, medals, paper currency and/or stamps. Some of these mints may also produce coins for other countries & governments.

A special word of caution: There are many, many "mints" that produce medallions & medals as "conversation pieces" but which have no numismatic value. Some of these "mints" may make misleading statements which imply that these medals are actual coins (legal tender) when in fact they are not. We have not included those types of "mints" in this listing. Always use caution when purchasing coins from any "mint". Be sure of who you are buying from, what you are buying, the authenticity of the items, and the authenticity of the source.
